Karla and Jarrett married a year ago and are coming back to San Antonio to have their renewal of vows at Our Lady Of Grace Catholic Church. Its going to be a fun wedding to shoot with the reception at The Witte Museum. Here are a few clicks from their couples session last night.
Congrats to Amanda and Chase. Well, not sure where to start really. I’m still recovering:-) Thank you to Britney, a bride who was so kind to refer me to Amanda. I shot their wedding about 18 months ago. Amanda and Chase’s wedding was at a lovely old church, St Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels and the reception was at the McKenna Center, adjacent to the children’s museum. Wonderful wonderful couple, friends and family. In 7 years I’ve been shooting weddings, this is right up there as one of the craziest receptions ever. Just scroll and you’ll see. Crazy fun. Captured at Medina Lake (when it was full), this is the lovely Lindsay at her parents back yard wedding three years ago. I was looking through my archive and came across this shot. Funny how time slips by and images you missed the first time seem to have improved. Maybe it’s just me getting older! Love this for its timelessness, light and the bokeh rendering. Picture of the week.

CONGRATULATIONS to Ruby and Barry who just after a few hours of having these pictures taken tied the knot officially at Barry’s local Cypress Creek Christian Church. I’m very much looking forward to their special Indian celebration wedding on June 1 at Houston’s Royal Sonesta Hotel. Should be a memorable one!
I really enjoyed their playful nature and hilarious humor. So, here’s a few favorite clicks from the engagement shoot last week captured at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. This was a hot humid shoot in the observatory and I was already sweating buckets by the time we left attempting to cajole butterflies, and failing. I’m not sure who was having more fun but we had to work quickly as they were getting officially married that day. An amazing place and I was last here for a wedding a few years back.

James and Courtney’s wedding was at Carlton Woods and reception at Carlton Woods Creekside, The Woodlands, Texas just north of Houston. Congrats to both of them and even though the heavens opened in typical Texas spring fashion, that of-course didm’t dampen spirits. The skies got so dark at one point with heavy downpours it got a little scary.
Weddings are always a wonderful celebration and this was no exception with terrifically friendly folks and family. Thanks to photographer Adam Swift who came along for the ride all the way from Los Angeles. Wedding shot with my trusty Leica Rangefinder and a Nikon D and D4.

So pretty! Such a fun wedding!
Chizene and Pejman’s wedding in Houston two weeks ago was simply amazing to me. I love to capture multicultural weddings and this was no exception. It was also a pleasure to work with Danyett again, from Two Be Wed. A team of wedding planners I’ve worked with many times in the past. Beautiful work and decor for the Persian ceremony by Faye Eftekhar, Turquise Event Planner.
It was an amazing coming together of folks from all over the world. A Filipino Catholic ceremony at the Holy Rosary Church followed by a Persian Ceremony at The Hobby Center in downtown Houston.
Chizene started getting ready in a suite at The Hyatt Regency. They were lovely to work with and you can see a few of my favorite images below, shot mostly with a Leica M9 Rangefinder during the daylight hours and a Nikon D3/D4 during the evening. Thanks to Christian Margain who came along for the ride from San Antonio.
