So, for a couple of weeks, we’re heading back to old blighty in September. It’ll be our first time back since last November. My Grans’ not doing too well lately so we’re looking forward to seeing her.
And, amazingly, this will be our first time back in the UK when it’s warm. Oh yeah, can’t wait for that. September is actually my favorite time of the year when it’s not too hot-around the mid 70s. The leaves are just on the verge of changing color (color is spelt colour in the UK among other things-ha ha).
My wife and I are considering taking our work with us next year and staying for a month. This sound like a great idea for me. We have very little expenses and can stay with my brother and sister in law whilst seeing mom and dad, family, friends and hang on in numerous pubs whilst Marcie-my wife networks with her work here in San Antonio. We have very flexible working schedules. Pretty cool.
Considering the very high fuel surcharges we were just hit with when purchasing the flights to the UK, a $1000 more than last year this sounds like a very exciting proposition and well worth staying longer getting our moneys worth.
What do you the reader think? Let me know. Have you done anything like this before?
