I would hold on to it a little longer if i were you… I was extremely disappointed with the 50g lens compared to my old 50mm 1.8d, yeah its sharp but that SWM in the lens is so slow, I have missed some great moments because that lens hunts around too much in low light. I use manual focus a lot with that lens. I also use the 35f2 the most as its focus is driven by the camera which is a little louder but much faster.
