It’s in the eyes! From Tanya and Robert’s ceremony in March 2009. I find it challenging to use a long lens effectively. Some photographers can do it really well, and only a few. Perspective is tightened and can the picture can feel too isolated. I much prefer to use shorter lenses and physically get closer….

Sometimes, just moving the camera down a wee bit, recomposing is all that is needed.
On a visit to the Austin Capitol building in 2008, I looked below and saw these school girls dancing. I chose a slow shutter and composed against a railing.

i love how you always seem to capture the true spirit of the subjects you shoot…..I do not know this couple, but “feel” the love they have for one another! You are a true artist Mr. Thomas! And you’re subjects are great too!
