Just received word that I scored 3rd and 6th in ‘Kids will be kids’ category. The International Society of Professional Photographers is a worldwide competition and I’m fortunate to be part of. Click here to see them all.

ON FRIDAY NIGHT, I PHOTOGRAPHED MARIA AND BILLY AT HAYS BRIDGE, SAN ANTONIO. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the session. Mostly shot on my Leica M9 except two extreme wide angle shots with a Nikon D3, we were going for an industrial fashion look with my documentary style combined. I kept…
Freaking HoT! Damn this couple makes the Texas Heat look cool… Great photography!
LOVE IT!!!!!
I love the engagement pics that you did for my son Billy Bias & my soon to be daughter – in-law Maria Salinas! They are amazing! I love your photography!

I met Xenia and Fred and their lovely little dog, Olive at the McNay Art Museum early last Saturday morning. The place looks fantastic at 8. It was just so quiet and serene. They particularly liked the idea of a picnic style photo shoot and here are few of my favorites from their e-session. For anyone…
I’m so fortunate to work with wonderful people especially those who go out of their way to write a lovely review. Here’s a review that came in today from Ann Marie and Erick who married almost three months ago. You can read the full review here on Wedding Wire. “I would highly recommend Philip Thomas…

I MET SAVANNA VIA SKYPE VIDEO from Spain whilst she was serving in the Navy and we just hit it off. Savanna is one of the loveliest people you could meet and John, her husband and ex Marine (who’s great with kids going by his little fan club during the wedding) look great together. They…
Great images… Very sharp and crisp, my fave has to be the French Bulldog portrait, great light and I own one myself
Was doing some research on the M9 and came across your site. Amazing work!
Gino- Thank you. Most kind. I was checking out your work and you have a very distinctive stye. Keep up the good work. If you have any Q&A about the Leica M9, please ask.
I love the second photo of the… boston terrier? and the ones of the bride getting ready, they really tell a story. I think your b&w photos are strongest. Maybe I’m biased, lol. Either way, it’s all gorgeous work!
Thank you, jim!
Wonderful images as always. If I had to choose a favourite, I think I would go for the little boy jumping off the curb. The girl watching him is priceless. And the dog of course in #2 – brilliant captures throughout.
Kevin,
Thank you and it’s always great to hear feedback from my peers, even 5000 miles away. Cheers.

Hey Phillip, First off cheers for following me on twitter, and second your work is stunning and love the documentary style you used in this recent wedding… STUNNING WORK and love the connection with your subjects but still being able to become invisible.
Love the work and will be following you!!

Savanna and John are friends of mine, and I deeply regret being unable to attend their wedding this summer. These photos fill me with joy, and I wanted to thank you for sharing them. Savanna was raving about your work while we were in Spain, so I knew her special day was in good hands.
Cheers!

[...] is a lovely timed shot of two kids having fun during Savanna and John’s wedding (again- wow, see post below). The compositional elements, the color, the shallow depth of field (shot with a Leica M9 and [...]
