They married at Alamo Heights Methodist Chuch in…

This shot really sums up why I love shooting weddings. No two weddings are alike and my style compared to many wedding photographers, is just to capture the day as unobtrusively as possible. There are many reasons why I like this shot captured with Leica M9, at f1.4 on a 35mm Summilux two weeks ago. There is…

Picture of the week: Amber and Adam from a few weeks ago. Couples choose me as their photographer for my unobtrusive documentary approach. Occasionally I’m requested to shoot more than the usual group and couple shots. I’m always happy to oblige. This image was shot with a Nikon 14-24 f2.8 at the 14mm setting. Hope…

Hello,
I am a friend of Adam Swift’s. I love your no flash style of photography. What are some typical outdoor settings/tips that you use? I shoot with a Canon 5D with an 85mm 1.8 lens. I just love the crisp fresh, clear look your portraits have. Thank you for any help you can be.
Hi Linda- Thank you. It depends of course on the light, time of day. the list goes on so there’s no easy answer. I do shoot wide open all day. In other word, I shoot with the aperture at the lowest number. WIth my Leica it’s f1.4. That’s what gives the images a unique look with that lovely bokeh effect. Dos that answer your question?
Final reminder about tomorrow’s 6:30 meeting. Park in street and walk up driveway through to the back yard. The studio is up a staircase over the garage. Do not use front door of house-it’s under repair an no one is home.
Hello Philip, is been a few months since I enjoy been at your studio, bue work issues I went out of town, but I am back. I wonder when you will host again one of your seminars so I can be the first in line to join you.
